While many students thrive in small group learning, some situations call for individualized support. One-on-one tutoring provides a fully personalized learning experience where sessions are tailored entirely to the needs of a single student.

These sessions allow students to move at their own pace, focus on specific challenges, and receive targeted guidance on the areas where they need the most support.

Private tutoring can be beneficial for students who:

  • Need intensive support with difficult concepts
  • Prefer a quieter, distraction-free learning environment
  • Are significantly behind and need to catch up
  • Are preparing for an important exam
  • Have scheduling needs that do not align with group sessions

For many students, one-on-one sessions can also be a helpful starting point before transitioning into small group learning.

Yes, It Really Works

I help with both! However, I find students who work with me regularly tend to do better than those who only get help right before a test.

Do you help with Homework, test prep, or both?

The process looks different depending on the student's goals, but it may include a pretest to find learning gaps, different teaching methods to fit the student's learning style.

How do you tailor sessions to fit each student's needs?

I offer both! I offer online tutoring over Zoom or in-person tutoring from my home Tutoring Space in Mapleton, UT.

Do you offer online or in person tutoring sessions?

Most math classes in schools have a combination of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics.  I can help with those! If you have a specific course you are wondering about, feel free to reach out!

What subjects or topics do you tutor?

Most will do 30 minutes or an hour each week. It depends on each individual student's needs and goals.
